About David Brooks

David Brooks is a freelance Interactive Designer, artist, musician and co-owner of Northward Compass, a small mixed-media studio in Michigan. Before striking out on his own, David was a User Experience Developer at Fellowship Technologies. While on the team in Texas, David designed and developed interfaces for Fellowship Technologies' church management web applications. Before that, David worked at Fry Incorporated as an Interface Developer, writing HTML, CSS and JavaScript for large-scale eCommerce brands. David began his career as the Visual Media Developer for Asbury Theological Seminary.

David holds a Masters Degree in World Missions (equivalent to "Intercultural Studies") from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Bachelors Degree in Spanish from Spring Arbor University (emphasis on Latin American literature and culture).

In his spare time, David writes electronic music under the moniker of Fair Flame, tinkers with his JavaScript library, Artisan JS, and takes as many photos as he can fit on his computer.
